Mission, Vision & Description

We are not a church for average people!

Our DNA:  “In earth as it IS in heaven!” Matthew 6:10 KJV
Our mission: Train, equip and activate maturing saints
in the Biblical lifestyle of purity and power!
     Our vision: Revolution
We will not be satisfied until those we reach say:
“Those who have turned the world
upside down have come here too!”
We are:
  • A regional training center focused on training and empowering
  • A Presence based community passionate about God and His activity in our midst
  • A people friendly community who accepts people where they are, but are committed to helping them mature so they will become like Father God
Our reach is global!?
     Our standard is excellence!
Our heart is wholeness for every person on the planet!

We are a non-denominational, full-gospel, regional training center that is committed to igniting, inspiring, facilitating, and shepherding a revolution that will grow more glorious until Christ returns. We are a people friendly but Presence of God focused church.
Although we are independent, meaning we are self-governed by local elders, we do have relationship with Bethel Church and the leadership team in Redding, CA. We are also in relationship with Dan Duke and Randall Worley. Dan and Randall have over 70 years of combine pastoral and itinerate ministry. These men are an invaluable resource and are ready to help in any matter that cannot be settled locally.
We believe you will experience the God of love, and the love of God’s people. We appreciate people that visit us. Our heart is to welcome you in and honor you for visiting with us. We do not believe in high-pressure sales jobs to get you to come back. One of the ways that we honor our first time visitors is to give them the book written by our Co-Founder, Dr. Kevin Drury, Welcome to the Wilderness. We also ask our visitors to stay after the service so that we can bless them by praying for them. It is not mandatory but most of our visitors stay and are extremely blessed.
We do! We have 3 levels of relationship with people: 1] Acquaintence, 2] Friend, and 3] Family. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 12:18 – “But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired [wills].” To us, membership is for those who recognize that God has called them to connect to us at the family level.  Membership has its privileges! Membership opens up the possibility of responsibility. Responsibility opens the door to authority. As an empowering community we desire to give people responsibility so they can function in healthy and holy authority. If a person will not be responsible they can not have authority in our community. Again, membership is the level of connection  where this is made possible.
That is a great question. They normally last two hours. That does not include any ministry time at the end or any fellowship that goes on afterwards. We understand people are very busy but we also understand and greatly desire to spend time in worship, in the Word, in ministry, and in fellowship. Since we do not have an evening service we do not rush the Lord, or His people.
Our style is contemporary, Biblical, Davidic, enthusiastic, energetic, and real. We do not worship with our lips only but with our hearts [lives] as well. When you study the life of King David and the Psalms you find that the Hebrews worshiped with all their being. Jesus said, “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” [Mark 12:30 NKJ]. Real worship [worship is an act of love] begins in the heart [spirit], involves the soul [mind, will and emotions], and is expressed through our body [strength]. Heartless, mindless and motionless worship is not the kind God seeks.
We believe in dressing modestly. We want people to focus on Jesus and not on what someone is, or is not wearing. Most people dress casual.
Yes, children are important to the Lord, and to us. We do not believe in just babysitting. Jesus said, “Do not stop the children from coming to Me.” We believe in training even the youngest among us to know Jesus and to be His disciple. We use age appropriate material and methods in our training. During our corporate worship services we have nursery for newborns through age 4. We have children’s church for ages 5 through 12. Most of our parents keep their children in the worship time and then take them to the nursery when the older ones are released to children’s church. If a child finishes their worship before the rest of us do we have someone assigned to be with them in the children’s area.

Donna Drury
Sozo Coordinator
Kevin and Donna Drury are the co-founders and Sr. Overseers of Bethel Church in Brunswick, GA. Kevin and Donna live to steward the revolution Jesus started 2000 years ago. They are called to train, equip and activate maturing saints in the Biblical lifestyle of purity and power. Kevin and Donna will not be satisfied until the people they reach say, “The ones who have turned the world upside down have come here too.”
Kevin and Donna have ministered in several states and a handful of nations. They were in India in January 2018 where they ministered in over 20 church services, 3 Bible Schools, 2 orphanages, a youth group and spoke a blessing in 2 wedding ceremonies. While in India they saw several hundred people healed of various things. One 75 year old woman was healed of cataracts, 2 women in different cities felt tumors disappear under their own hands, and many other healings were experienced.
Because of the increase in healings in their ministry Kevin and Donna launched Mercy House Ministry in March. Mercy House Ministry is a time of soaking worship and soaking prayer for healing.
Kevin is the published Author of Welcome To The Wilderness and Leaving the Land of Your Limitations; Apostolic First Responders Training Manual, and is working on more books, workbooks and a devotional for disciples.
Kevin and Donna have been married 44 years in September 2018. They have 3 married children and 7 grandchildren.
Jane Brunegraff oversees our pastoral ministry. Jane has been in pastoral ministry for over 30 years. She handles hospital visitation as well as contacting our visitors to see if they have any questions, and communicating with our members to make sure they feel connected to us as a Body. Jane teaches our 13 week New Members Class as well as alternating teaching in our Wednesday night service. Jane has been driving I95 and walking on Saint Simons Island for decades praying for a heaven sent revival to come to our region that brings kingdom transformation.
Kristin Wallace is a wife and mother of 3 amazing chidlren. Kristin oversees our vital children’s ministries. Kristin is also a trained Special Education teacher in our local school system and her desire is to share Papa God’s heart with our kids. God’s heart, according to Kristin, is filled with a pure and perfect love, and He loves them so much that they were designed by Him for a purpose. Kristin loves to see kids break through limitations whether they are real or perceived.
Rachel Flantos has called Bethel church home for over 10 years. Rachel oversees the schedules related to the many “moving parts” of Bethel’s Sunday morning service, and assists with purchasing supplies for the church. Rachel has a passion for organization and for people knowing who they are in Christ, through Christ, and with Christ. Rachel and her son enjoy going to the beach and having family days at home.
John and Wendy Googe are co-leaders of a Tuesday night home group where our mission is to grow together in maturity and getting out into and impacting the community with the Gospel. John and Wendy are called to train & equip people in how to connect to the heart of God in worship, hear His voice, and discover their identity in Christ. They also feel called & committed to the Bethel sozo ministry. Other responsibilities include serving in the areas of greeting and gate keeping.  John is a part of the sound and presentation team as well as a worship team member.
Beginning March John and Wendy will lead a 10 week course studying Danny Silk’s Curriculum – Keep Your Love On!
Worship Collective is where we presently are with our worship ministry. We are in a time of transition where we do not have one person as our worship leader. We are rebuilding our team to think ‘a team of leaders’ not just one leader. Our goal is to empower people so the gifts and calls God has given them can rise to the surface and where genuine honor is given to each member of the team. We believe a worship leader will either emerge out of our present team or God will send us the person He wants to lead us in worship. Whoever that person is must have a vision and core value for raising up many leaders so that the vision God gave Kevin and Donna before Bethel was launched will be realized. That vision in part is worship that the world takes note of including songs written and produced that bring deliverance to individuals and nations.
Donna Drury, among her other duties, oversees our Sozo Ministry. Donna is our main trainer and she schedules all of the sessions. Donna has a heart for the hurting and her compassionate serves her well as she facilitates sozo sessions and training classes.

immutable values:
we believe
The Holy Bible, in its original, inspired, written form, including both the Old and New Covenants, is the only God-breathed and inspired literary work. The Holy Bible is the only source whereby all mankind can discover the will of God for their lives and be reconciled to Him through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Also, we believe that the Holy Bible is the final authority for which God has commanded His Church to be built. In the Old Covenant, He commanded both Moses and David to build according to the “pattern” or blueprint that He gave to them. In the New Covenant the Lord Jesus said that He would build His Church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it. [Exodus 25:9, 40; Exodus 26:30; Numbers 8:4, 1 Chronicles 28:11,12,19; Matthew 16:18; Acts 7:44; 2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; Hebrews 8:5; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:19-21; and others]
There is One God and He reveals Himself in three Persons. They are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. [Genesis 1:1,2,26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Proverbs 30:4; Matthew 3:16,17; John 14:26; and others]
Jesus Christ of Nazareth is both God and Man. He is known throughout the Scripture as the Son of God and the Son of Man. He is both Divine and Human. Therefore, we believe that He is God who came in the flesh to reveal the Father’s heart of redemption for the whole world. He is, therefore, the only mediator between God and man. [Daniel 3:25; Matthew 8:20,29; Matthew 14:33; Luke 1:26-38; John 1:1,14; John 14:1-3; Matthew 12:32; 1 Timothy 2:5 and many others]
Every human is born into sin, and is, therefore, considered to be a sinner by God and separated from Him. We also believe that because of the sin nature in every person they are incapable of living life free from sin. Therefore, every person is in bondage to sin. Man without God is lost and undone, without God, and / or hope in this world, and in desperate need for a Savior. [Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:10,19-26; Romans 6:6,16-18,23; Galatians 3:22-26; Ephesians 2:1,2,12]
The only way for mankind to be reconciled to God is through a personal faith in, and relationship with His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. This can only be achieved by faith, but is proven out by the fruit of good works. The redeemed of the Lord will spend eternity with Him in heaven, and the accursed [those who rejected God’s free gift of life] will spend eternity separated from Him in hell. [Isaiah 59:2; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; James 2:14-26; Romans 4:1-8; Romans 5:1,2; John 14:15,24 and others]
Salvation was not intended to get us to a place called heaven. Salvation is to get us into God’s kingdom so that God can get heaven to earth through us.
In the saving (Greek-sozo – forgiving, healing, and delivering) power of the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We believe in His imputed righteousness and wholeness to everyone who will believe in, adhere to, rely on, and places their complete trust in Him. [Romans 10:9,10; Romans 5:1-11; Ephesians 3:1-15a; 1Peter 1:18,19; Acts 4:10,12; 1 Thessalonians 5:23]
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Who is the third Person of the triune Godhead. We believe in His work involving conversion, regeneration, and sanctification, and gifting. His work includes, but is not limited to, convicting of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He leads the believer into all truth. He reminds believers of things that Christ has spoken to them. He releases spiritual gifts to the believers as He wills. He empowers believers to be witnesses of Christ and continues to do the works that Jesus did while He was on the earth in human form. He glorifies Jesus by taking what is His and giving it to us. He searches the deep things of God. He prays for us when we do not know how to pray. We believe the evidence a person has been baptized in the Holy Spirit is that he or she will have been endued with power from heaven. [John 14, 16; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 12, 14]
We believe that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in other (unknown/unlearned) tongues, is for every born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ who will ask for and receive them by faith. We do not believe that a person has to speak in other tongues, but we do encourage every person to speak in other tongues as often as they can. The baptism in the Spirit is a separate gift from God and was taught by Jesus Himself. [Luke 11:9-13; 24:49-53; John 14:26; John 16:8,13,14; 20:19-22; Acts 1:5,8; Acts 2:1-11; Acts 4:31; Acts 8:14-18; Acts 10:34-48; Acts 11:16; Acts 19:1-7; Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 2:10; 12 & 14; Hebrews 2:4 Amplified Bible]
In the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit that begins the moment a person is born again by the Spirit of God. We believe this is a life long process, and is greatly helped when the person cooperates with the working of the Spirit. We believe that God is committed to complete every work that He begins in the life of the believer. We believe that every believer should seek to live a life worthy of the calling with which he or she has been called in order to bring glory and honor to the Lord Jesus Christ. [John 16:7-11; Romans 12:1-3; 1 Corinthians 3:16-18; 1 Corinthians 6:19,20; 1Peter 1:16; Philippians 1:27; Ephesians 4:1; Philippians 2:13; Philippians 1:6]
The saved and the lost will be physically raised from the dead. Those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
The 5-fold gift offices that Christ gave to His Church should be recognized, honored, accepted and implemented into the life of local churches. The apostle Paul made it very clear that Christ gave these grace gifts to His Church to equip the individual members for service in the Kingdom of God. This equipping will result in many positive things in the life of the believer and the church. One of the most significant results will be maturity and conformity to the life and ministry of Jesus, the Head of the Church. [Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Corinthians 12:28]

These decisions are not destinations – they are journeys, journeys along an ancient path. We have not found some new way – We have discovered the path as old as Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The same path Moses, Joshua, Caleb and David followed. The path followed by the first century church – Peter, John, Paul and others less known. Theirs was a church that revolutionized the culture of their day, and beyond.

This path will impact our world. It is a path of bold faith – believing what God says is really true, and acting on it. It is a path of outrageous generosity with our time, talents and finances – giving our life away in order to demonstrate His Kingdom. It is a path of radical love – loving God with everything in us and our neighbor as ourselves. This is a path of liberty, responsibility, accountability, and wholeness. On this path we find significance, purpose, and destiny.

This is a path less traveled. However, it is not a path only available to a select few. This path is available to whosoever will dare to find it, and walk on it regardless of the cost. This path may be straight and narrow, but it is filled with excitement. It is for people of every nation, tribe and tongue – for those in any occupation or vocation. No matter where you are in your life journey – there is room on this path for you.
Where do you stand?  Will you join us on this path?
Joining with us does NOT mean you are joining our church. It simply means that you decide to be all that God created you to be, and to do all that God created you to do.
If you believe God wants you to join our church family there is a 13 week new member class to attend. Please see Pastor Jane Brunegraff to find out more.
